b7923: Sterling Silver Candelabrum

Hallmarked In 1891

Hallmarked in London in 1891 by Edward Hutton, with the branches hallmarked in 1881 by James Kebberling Bembridge, this classic, Victorian, Antique Sterling Silver Candelabrum, holds five candles and is of the traditional Corinthian column form on a stepped bead border base. The candelabrum measures 22.5"(57cm) tall, by 14"(36cm) in spread. The base is weighted for stability, but the removable branches weigh 62 troy ounces.

Hallmarked In 1867

Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1867 by Elkington & Co., this attractive pair of Victorian, Antique Sterling Silver Candelabra, are in the neoclassical revival style, and hold three candles. Each candelabrum measures 20.25"(51.5cm) tall, by 11"(29cm) in spread and together they weigh 91 troy oz. The candelabra have been designed so that the arms can be taken from one and inserted into the other, forming a central 5 light candelabrum, or centrepiece.

Hallmarked in London in 1901 by C. C. Pilling, this attractive pair of Victorian, Antique Sterling Silver Candelabra, are in the Corinthian column style, each holding four candles, and featuring bead borders and stepped bases. Each candelabrum measures 19"(48.5cm) tall, by 13"(33cm) in spread. The candelabra are filled for balance.

Hallmarked In 1870

Hallmarked in London in 1870 by Robert Hennell IV (with one branch bearing marks for Robert Hennell III in 1840), this wonderful pair of cast, Victorian, Antique Sterling Silver Candelabra, are of superb quality, featuring scroll, acanthus and floral decoration throughout, and holding 3 candles, or 4 with the removable flame taken out. Each candelabrum measures 21"(54cm) tall, by 16"(41cm) wide, by 15"(38cm) deep and the pair together weigh an impressive 250 troy ounces.

b8576: Sterling Silver Pair Of 'Grotesque' Candelabra

Hallmarked In 1875

Hallmarked in London in 1875 by Alexander Macrae, this sensational pair of Victorian, Antique Sterling Silver Candelabra, feature wonderful 'Grotesque' decoration and gilding, and are engraved with a crest and initials to each base. Each candelabrum measures 27.5"(70cm) tall, by 15.5"(39cm) in diameter and together they weigh a substantial 310 troy ounces. The crest and initials are likely that of William Duncombe, 1st Earl of Feversham.

L1525: Sterling Silver Pair Of Gilt Candelabra

Made Circa 1875

This fantastic pair of Victorian, Antique Sterling Silver Candelabra were made in London in 1867 and 1890 by Hunt & Roskell and Benson & Webb respectively. (Benson & Webb purchased Hunt & Roskell in 1889). They feature grape and vine decoration to the stems and branches, and each base has a a putti holding a bunch of grapes with vine leaves in their hair. These traditional symbols of Dionysus, the God of wine, clearly celebrating an abundant grape harvest, make these wonderful, rococo candelabra the perfect table decoration for a passionate wine drinker. Measuring 26"(66cm) tall with a span of 14.5"(37cm) this heavy, gilt, and cast pair of Sterling Silver candelabra weigh 362 troy ounces in total.
