The tray measures 29"(74cm) from handle to handle, by 20"(51cm) deep, and weighs 136 troy ounces. The crest and motto is that of the North family, and most likely that of Major Sir Harry North, who was Knighted the same year that the tray was made. The motto translates as 'By Courage & Faith'.
