Hallmarked in London in 1859 by George Richards Elkington, this incredible antique sterling silver centrepiece is naturalistically modelled with tall cast and chased foliage supporting an etched glass trumpet vase, the mirrored base featuring cast swans, reeds, and water lilies in high relief, with an engraved coat of arms to the cartouche. The design is registered with a mark dated 11 March 1858. It stands 22" (56cm) tall and measures 15" (38.5cm) in diameter. The weight is approximately 180 troy ounces.
