The faux tortoiseshell comb has a plain silver gilt overlay. The other pieces feature pale green shagreen with a decorative silver gilt overlay. The clothes brush is 6.5"(16cm) long and 1.5"(3.5cm) wide. The hair brush is 9"(23cm) long and 3"(7.5cm) wide. The mirror is 9.75"(24cm) long, with a mirror diameter of 5"(12.5cm).

The bowl has a round base and becomes fluted at the midriff. The foot has repeat pattern circular engraving and there is a recurrent feather pattern application around the centre. The bowl has a diameter of 10.75"(27.5cm) diameter, a height of 5.5"(13.5cm) and a weight of 50 troy ounces.
