Hallmarked In 1918
Hallmarked in London in 1918 by L. A. Crichton, this stunning, Antique Sterling Silver Tea Caddy, is in the Neoclassical taste, featuring engraved decoration throughout. The tea caddy comes from the collection of Former President of the United States Grover Cleveland and his Descendants. President Cleveland's daughter, Esther Bosanquet (nee Cleveland), was the only child to be born at the Whitehouse to a serving US President. The caddy is engraved with the family crest of the Bosanquets above the motto 'Per damna per coedes' and given the date was presumably purchased new by Esther Bosanquet. The tea caddy measures 5"(13cm) tall, by 5"(12.5cm) wide, by 4"(10cm) deep, and weighs 13.3 troy ounces.

The salver measures 2"(5cm) tall, by 23"(58.5cm) wide, by 16"(41cm) deep, and weighs an impressive 151 troy ounces.
