Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1891 by William & George Sissons, this decorative antique sterling silver and glass claret jug features a chased vine and floral mount with applied anthemion-decorated spout, beaded borders, and a domed hinged cover engraved with a floral and vine garland, surmounted by a pierced scroll thumbpiece. The plain loop handle is capped with a leaf terminal. The jug measures 12.5" (32cm) tall, 7" (18cm) across from handle to spout, and 6" (15cm) deep.
