Hallmarked in London, 1792 by P & A Bateman, this smart George III Antique, Sterling Silver Teapot & Stand has bands of engraved floral decoration throughout and a central armorial crest either side of the teapot and also on the stand. The stand has an overstruck makers mark for George Gray. The teapot is oval in shape, with a slightly domed lid, a straight spout and fruit wood finial and handle. The stand is 7"x5" (18cm x 12.5cm), standing 1"(2.5cm), while the teapot is 11"(28cm) handle to spout, 6"(15cm) high and 5"(12.5cm) wide. The total weight of this set is 17.85 troy ounces.
