Hallmarked in London in 1837 by Edward, Edward Junior, John & William Barnard, this stunning, early Victorian, Antique Sterling Silver Salver, is ornately decorated with flat chasing and engraving to the centre, and a heavy shell and acanthus border. The salver measures 3"(7.5cm) tall, by 26"(66cm) in diameter, and weighs an impressive 191 troy ounces.
The salver is engraved to the centre with a presentation inscription which reads: 'Presented to Henry Leach Esq. Chairman of the Haverfordwest Union by the Guardians Rate Payers and Others as a testimony of the high sense they entertain of the distinguished zeal and ability with which he has executed the arduous duty of his office. June 1839'

Made in Paris circa 1830 by Odiot, this spectacular, Antique First Quality French Silver Centrepiece Jardinière & Plateau, has an oval bowl with a removable gilt metal liner, beautifully detailed with fluting, floral garland swags and applied bows, standing on a round pedestal base with lion's paw feet. There is wreath borders around the foot of the bowl, which follows through around the plateau. The jardinière measures 17.5"(45cm) tall, by 23"(58cm) from handle to handle, by 13"(33cm) deep. The mirror plateau measures 16"(42cm) in diameter and 3"(7.5cm) tall.
