Fiddle & Thread pattern is the simplest and one of the most popular of the Fiddle pattern variants. Found from around 1805 onwards and produced particularly prolifically in the mid Victorian period Fiddle & Thread is heavier in the hand than fiddle, making it a great pattern for those that love the simplicity of fiddle but prefer a weightier feel. Fiddle & Thread is also an easy pattern to match with other items in the dining room as the thread motif is commonly found on furniture, ceramics and of course silverware.
