Hallmarked In 1779

Hallmarked in London in 1779 by Samuel Wood, this Antique, George III, Sterling Silver Tea Caddy is shaped oval with bright cut engraving and beaded borders. The caddy carries a family crest and motto, is 4 inches (10cm) high, 5 inches (12cm) wide, 3.75 inches (9.5cm) deep ane weighs 12.5 troy oz. The caddy has a lock and key typical of the period in which it was made.
