Hallmarked In 1876
Hallmarked in London in 1876 by Robert Hennell III, this wonderful, Victorian, Antique, Sterling Silver Centrepiece, was originally the Warwick Cup race trophy, and stands on a wooden plinth with a beaded band and engraved presentation inscription. The front of the trophy is beautifully chased with a scene depicting Warwick castle, and the other side of the trophy is engraved with the coat of arms for Lord Edward Heneage, the 1st Baron Heneage. The centrepiece measures 31"(80cm) tall, by 21"(54cm) wide, by 16"(41cm) deep, and the silver weighs 168 troy ounces. The presentation inscription reads "Warwick September Meeting - 1876 - The Warwick Cup - Won by - Mr Heneage's 'Freeman'"
