Made circa 1970 in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, by Howard Francis Crisp, this exceptional American sterling silver three-piece coffee set is of a striking Mid-Century Modern design, featuring smooth lines, dramatic flared bodies, and beautifully carved wooden handles. The set has a combined weight of 42.3 troy ounces. The set, which is a unique example, was made by Howard for his thesis exhibition at Cranbrook Academy of Arts. It was then part of the Seawolf collection, object number 179.
The coffee pot measures 7.5"(19cm) tall by 7.5"(19cm) from handle to spout. The sugar bowl measures 4"(10cm) tall by 6.75"(17cm) from handle to handle. The cream jug measures 3.25"(8.5cm) tall by 4.25"(11cm) wide.
