Hallmarked In 1793

Hallmarked in London, 1793 by Charles Aldridge, this handsome George III Antique, Sterling Silver Tea Set consists of three pieces. Each piece features a band of pretty floral engraving with pierced dotted lines and a central crest of a bird. The shaped oval teapot has a flush hinge lid and a fruitwood finial and handle. It measures 11"(28cm) handle to lid, is 4"(10cm) deep and 5"(12.5cm) tall. The helmet style cream jug stands on a shaped pedestal base and measures 6.5"(16.5cm) to handle top and 4.5"(11cm) handle to spout. The swing basket sugar bowl is oval with a shaped pedestal base and is 7.5"(19cm) handle up, 5"(12.5cm) handle down 6"(15cm) across and 4"(10cm) deep. The total weight of this tea set is 28.5 troy ounces.
