j7689: Sterling Silver Novelty 'Nef' Drinks Decanter

Hallmarked In 1900

Carrying import marks for Chester in 1900 by Berthold Muller, this Antique Sterling Silver Nef, is also a decanter, with the bowsprit acting as the spout, and the back section hinging to allow the alcohol to be poured in. The Nef measures 16"(41cm) tall, by 13"(33cm) wide, by 4.5"(11.5cm) deep and weighs 45.4 troy ounces.

Hallmarked In 1921

Carrying import marks for London in 1921 by Berthold Muller, this very handsome pair of George V, Sterling Silver Pheasants, are beautifully modelled and feature removable heads. The female measures 7"(18cm) tall, by 11.5"(30cm) from beak to tail, and the male measures 7.5"(19cm) tall, by 15"(38cm) from beak to tail. The pair together weigh 33 troy ounces.

Hallmarked In 1922

Carrying import marks for London in 1922 & Chester in 1909 by Berthold Muller, this striking pair of Sterling Silver Pheasants, are realistically modelled and hand chased. The male (hallmarked in Chester) measures 9.75"(25cm) tall, by 16"(40cm) from head to tail, and the female measures 7.5"(19cm) tall, by 16.5"(42cm) from beak to tail, by 10"(26cm) across the wings. The pair together weigh 51.1 troy ounces.
