The design is likely by Stanley Padgett. The cigarette box measures 1.75"(4.5cm) tall, by 6.5"(16.5cm) wide, by 4"(10cm) deep. A similar size, engine turned cigarette box (slightly different in design) is attributed to Stanley Padgett and illustrated in 'Treasures of the 20th Century' by The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, London 2000. Item no. 99.

This exceptional Arts & Crafts period Sterling Silver casket, or box, carries hallmarks for London in 1901 by William Hutton & Sons, and was designed by Kate Harris. The casket stands on four feet, and features a repeating embossed floral pattern to the sides which is mimicked on the folding clasp. The lid is further detailed with floral strap-work and amber cabochons, and the interior is lined in cedar wood. The box measures 3.25"(8.5cm) tall, by 8.25"(21cm) wide, by 4.75"(12cm) deep.
