Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1960/1961 by Walker & Hall, this handsome, 4 piece Sterling Silver Tea Set, is in the very sought after 'Pride' pattern, designed by David Mellor. The teapot measures 5"(12.5cm) tall, by 9"(23cm) from handle to spout, and the other pieces are in proportion. The set together weighs 75 troy ounces. The design by Mellor won first prize from the British Council of Industrial Design in 1959 for both aesthetic and practical reasons.
