Hallmarked in London, 1862, 1863 and 1864 by Edward & John Barnard, this very handsome, Victorian, antique silver tea set, comprises of a kettle (1864) a coffee pot (1862), a teapot, cream jug and sugar bowl (all 1863), with all pieces featuring delightful chased floral decoration throughout. The kettle measures 16 inches (40.5cm) tall, by 11 inches (28cm) from handle to spout, the coffee pot measures 11 inches (28cm) tall, by 8.75 inches (22cm) from handle to spout, the teapot measures 7.25 inches (18.5cm) tall, by 10.25 inches (26cm) from handle to spout, the cream jug measures 5.75 inches (14.5cm) tall, by 4.5 inches (11.5cm) from handle to lip, and the sugar bowl measures 4.5 inches (11.5cm) tall, by 8 inches (20.5cm) from handle to handle. The set together weighs 138 troy ounces.
