b6076: Sterling Silver Coffee Spoons

Hallmarked In 1916

Hallmarked in London in 1916 by Liberty & Co., this novelty set of six, Sterling Silver Coffee Spoons, feature enamelled terminals depicting men in “Convalescent Blues” - a special uniform issued to First World War battle wounded soldiers when they arrived at hospital in England. The uniform consisted of a blue single-breasted jacket with a white lining - worn open at the neck, blue trousers, a white shirt and a red tie. To complete the outfit he wore his own khaki service cap with its regimental badge. Presented in their original box, each coffee spoon measures 5"(12.5cm) in length and together they weigh 2.14 troy ounces.

Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1914 by Liberty & Co., this stunning, Antique Sterling Silver Teapot, is in the Arts & Crafts style, and features a hammered finish and a wooden handle and finial. The teapot measures 6.25"(16cm) tall, by 9.5"(24cm) from handle to spout and weighs 20.4 troy ounces.

Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1927 by Walker & Hall, this very handsome, Ceramic & Sterling Silver Set of 6 Tea Cups & Saucers, are Art Deco in design, and the cups and saucers are made by Wedgwood, pattern number 25398. Each tea cup measures 2.75"(7cm) tall, and each saucer measures 4.75"(12cm) in diameter.

Hallmarked in London in 1931 by Mappin & Webb, this attractive, two tiered, Art Deco, George V, Sterling Silver Cake Stand, features octagonal plates with pierced borders and fine gadroon edges, an an angular frame.The cake stand measures 12.75"(32cm) tall by 8"(20cm) wide, and the plates have a width and depth of 8"(20cm). In total the cake stand weighs 33.2 troy ounces.
