Hallmarked In 1828
Hallmarked in London, 1828 by John Whitehouse ,this elaborate Four Piece, George IV Antique, Sterling Silver Tea Set has stunning repousse work throughout. Each piece stand on applied claw feet topped with facial masks. The spouts are in the form of birds, with the beaks open. The finials have pheasants, nesting in a flower. The silver handles of the pots have ivory breakers. Each piece bears a family crest with the motto, "Lux In Tenebris" 9 light in Darkness). The tea pot is 7.5"(19cm) high, 11"(28cm) handle to spout and. 6.5"(16cm) in diameter. The coffee pot is 9"(22.5cm) high, 10"(25.5cm) handle to spout and 6.5"(16cm) in diameter. The sugar bowl is 3.5"(9cm) high 8"(20cm) handle to handle and 5.5"(14cm) in diameter. The cream jug is 3.5"(9cm) high, 6"(15cm) handle to spout, with a diameter of 4"(10cm). The jug and bowl have gilt interiors. This set has a combined weight of 91.92 troy ounces.

Hallmarked in London in 1828 by Barnards, this impressive Antique, George IV, Sterling Silver Five Piece Tea and Coffee Service is in the famous Barnard's Melon design and features shell feet and pumpkin finials. The tea urn measures 41cm (16 inches) in height, the coffee pot, 23cm (9 inches), the tea pot 14cm (5.5 inches), the sugar bowl 10cm (4 inches) and the cream jug 11.5cm (4.5 inches). The entire set weighs 241 oz troy.
