b3018: Sterling Silver Pair Of 'Six Shell' Candlesticks

Hallmarked In 1828

Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1828 by Kirkby Waterhouse & Co., this attractive, George IV, Antique Sterling Silver Pair of Candlesticks, are in the 'Six Shell' style, and feature removable sconces and engraved crests. Each candlestick measures 9"(23cm) tall, by 5.5"(14cm) in diameter. The candlesticks are loaded for balance. The crest is likely that of the Anstruther Family, possibly Sir Ralph Abercrombie Anstruther, 4th Baronet of Wrae, Balcaskie, Fife, and Braemore.

Hallmarked In 1821

Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1821 by S. C. Younge & Co., this stunning pair of George III, Antique Sterling Silver Candlesticks, are richly decorated in the Regency taste, and feature removable sconces. Each candlestick measures 8"(20cm) tall, by 4.5"(11.5cm) in diameter and they have been filled for balance.

j1789: Sterling Silver Set Of Four Candlesticks

Hallmarked In 1828

Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1828 by Waterhouse, Hatfield & Co., this attractive, George IV, Antique Sterling Silver Silver Set of Four Candlesticks, feature acanthus decoration around the bases, the top of the columns and on the removable sconces, and each is engraved with a crest and motto. Each candlestick measures 10.25"(26cm) tall, by 5"(12.5cm) in diameter, and they are filled for stability. The motto reads “I Make Sure”, and the crest if likely that of the Kilpatrick family.
