Hallmarked in Birmingham, 1904 by J. Aitkin & Son, this wonderful Antique, Edwardian, Sterling Silver Art Nouveau Photograph Frame has a wooden back and a shaped silver surround depicting rosemary and bearing a Shakespearean quote from Hamlet's Ophelia - "There's Rosemary, That's for Remembrance". The frame is 7" (17.5cm) high, and 6" (15cm) wide, with an aperture of 3.5" (9cm) in diameter.

Designed for officers in the army to bring along pictures of their loved ones, when closed the glass is protected and the frame can be safely travelled with. Each frame measures 6.75" x 5" (17cm x 12cm) with an aperture of 5.75" x 4"(14.5cm x 10cm).
