L1840: Sterling Silver Biscuit Box

Hallmarked In 1904

Hallmarked in London in 1904 by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co., this fabulous Edwardian Antique, Sterling Silver and Glass Biscuit Box is opened by moving the handle back which causes the lid to automatically pivot open. The glass has a subtle ripple to the sides and a star cut base. It measures 5"( 12.5cm) in diameter and 8.5”(22cm) tall to the top of the handle.

Hallmarked In 1907

Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1907 by James Dixon & Sons, this Antique, Edwardian, Sterling Silver Biscuit Box is shaped octagonal with a scroll pierced border and foot and a lift off lid. The biscuit box is 6.5 inches (16.5cm) high, has a diameter of 5.5 inches (14.5cm) and weighs 13 troy oz (405gm).
