The I.Franks Family
One of the earliest silver dealerships to be established in The London Silver Vaults, I.Franks, now in its fourth generation, is still in the original family ownership. Today, Eric, Daniel and Jonathan Franks look after customers with expert advice and personal attention.

After completing a BSc in Industrial Chemistry at Cardiff University (where he met his wife Diane) and an MA in Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, Eric undertook a Phd in Inorganic Chemistry at Cambridge University during which time he was headhunted by ICI, for whom he worked for the following 10 years. In 1985, Eric decided it was time for a change of career and joined his Father-in-law Jack in the Antique Silver Business. Over the next 25 years, he steadily grew the business, first expanding the original I.Franks shop to twice its size and later opening two further shops. Today, I.Franks is the largest silver dealer in the London Silver Vaults and still going strong!
In 2001 Daniel completed a Bsc in Biology at Queen Mary University with a specialism in Marine Biology, joining his Father in the business shortly thereafter. In 2009 Daniel completed a diploma in Gemmology at GEM-A, The Gemmological Association of Great Britain. As well as taking part in the day to day running of the business, Daniel is also responsible for cataloguing all the silver items on the I.Franks website.
After completing a BA at St Martins College of Fine Art in 2000, Jonathan spent a few years living abroad. In 2003 he returned to London and undertook an MA in Sculpture at the Slade School of Fine Art, which he graduated in 2005, shortly before joining his Father and Brother in the Silver Vaults. Jonathan is responsible for designing and coding the I.Franks website.
