Hallmarked In 1839
Hallmarked in London in 1839 by Riley & Storer, this impressive and rare Pair of Antique, Early Victorian, Sterling Silver Soup Tureens feature oval lobed bodies with chased floral decoration and cast flower and acanthus borders. Standing on foliage scroll feet with acanthus reed handles, the tureens are engraved with a coat of arms to the body and a crest to the lid. Each soup tureen measures 12"(31cm) tall, by 18"(46cm) wide and 12"(31cm) deep. Together, they weigh an impressive 251 troy ounces.
