Hallmarked In 1716
Hallmarked in London in 1716 by Pierre Platel, this elegant Antique, George I, Britannia Standard Oil And Vinegar Set is a superb example of early 18th century silver, crested on the lids and frame. Pierre Platel was a master craftsman, notably, having Paul de Lamerie serving as his apprentice from 1703 until 1713. Each bottle is 7.5"(19cm) tall. The frame is 7"(18cm) long by 5"(13cm) wide and weighs 13 troy ounces.
