Georgian Sterling Silver Soup Tureen
j2277: Hallmarked in London, 1823 by Emes & Barnard, this striking, George IV antique silver soup tureen, features half fluted decoration, shell and gadroon borders, cast and applied lion mask handles, and cast and applied ball and claw feet with acanthus detailing. The soup tureen measures 10.5 inches (27cm) tall, by 18 inches (48cm) from handle to handle, by 10.5 inches (27cm) in depth, and weighs 132 troy ounces.
