j5767: Hallmarked in London, 1912/1921 by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. This very handsome, sterling silver five piece tea set, comprises of a kettle (hallmarked in 1921), and a teapot, coffee pot, sugar bowl and cream jug all hallmarked in 1912. The five pieces are plain in style, and feature applied bands of detail, and pineapple finials. The kettle measures 13 inches (33cm) tall, by 9 inches (23cm) at its widest, the teapot measures 6 inches (15.5cm) tall, by 7.75 inches (20cm) from handle to spout, the coffee pot measures 6 inches (15.5cm) tall, by 6.75 inches (17cm) from handle to spout, the cream jug measures 3.75 inches (9.5cm) tall, by 4.75 inches (12cm) from handle to lip, and the sugar bowl measures 3 inches (8cm) tall, by 5.5 inches (14cm) from handle to handle. The whole set weighs 104.5 troy ounces.
