j7882: Edwardian Sterling Silver Carving Set
Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1902 by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co., this beautiful ivory, steel and Sterling Silver five piece game and meat carving set is in the original box. The Sterling Silver mounts were hallmarked by George Hancock who worked for The Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co., and the pieces are all in perfect condition with scimitar shaped steel blades on the two carving knives. The lid of the box has a presentation inscription for 1904. The largest knife is 16" (40cm) long with all of the other pieces in proportion.£795
