j7965 - Victorian Sterling Silver Clock: Hallmarked in London in 1879 by Walter Thornhill for Thornhill & Co. this very attractive antique Victorian sterling silver carriage clock is inlaid with other metals such as copper and gold. Each side carries a different scene and the overall effect is of Chinoiserie. The carriage clock is 2.75" (7cm) high (with the handle down), 2" (5cm) wide and 1.5" (4cm) deep. The mechanism has been serviced and the clock face is in perfect condition.
