j2774 - Georgian Sterling Silver Soup Tureen: Hallmarked in London, 1766 by Lewis Herne & Francis Butty, this striking, early George III, antique silver soup tureen, features gadroon borders on the body and lid, cast and applied acanthus decorated handles, and four claw and ball feet, with chased floral detail. The soup tureen measures 9.75 inches (25cm) tall, by 16.5 inches (42cm) from handle to handle, by 9.25 inches (23.5cm) in depth, and weighs 85 troy ounces. | £16,750 |
