Hallmarked in London in 1782 by Hester Bateman, this attractive, brightcut engraved, George III antique Sterling Silver sugar basket has bead borders typical of Hester Bateman's work. The basket is 4" (10cm) in diameter, 7.5" (19cm) tall to the top of the handle and weighs 7.2 troy oz.£1,375

Hallmarked in London, 1786 by Hester Bateman, this very attractive, George III, Antique, Sterling Silver Sweetmeat Basket, features pierced and engraved decoration, bead borders, and a reed bordered swing handle. The sweetmeat basket measures 2.5 inches (6.5cm) tall with the handle down (5 inches (13cm) with the handle down) by 6.5 inches (16.5cm) wide, by 4.5 inches (11.5cm) deep, and weighs 4.2 troy ounces.£1,875

Hallmarked in London, 1806 by Henry Nutting, this very handsome, George III, antique silver basket, features a gadroon border, a plain rectangular body, and reed detailing to the swing handle. Hallmarked in London, 1803 by William Aitken, this very handsome, George III, Antique, Sterling Silver Basket, features egg and dart borders around the rim and foot, acanthus and reed detailing around the handle, wonderful engraved borders, and an engraved coat of arms to the center. The basket measures 11 inches (28cm) tall with the handle up (5 inches (13cm) with the handle down), by 14 inches (35.5cm) wide, by 10 inches (25.5cm) deep, and weighs 26.3 troy ounces.£3,275

Hallmarked in London in 1786 by Hester Bateman, this superb condition George III antique Sterling Silver pierced basket has beaded borders so typical of Hester Bateman's work and the most beautiful brightcut engraving and piercing. The basket is 13" (33cm) long, 9" (23cm) wide, 10" (25cm) high to the top of the handle and weighs 21 troy oz.
